About me

I was born in Poole, Dorset in the UK, a small fisherman’s town on the south coast. From a pretty early age I was fascinated by realism and portraiture, mainly because I saw it as one of the most difficult things to truly get right. I’ve always been drawn to detail and the challenge of capturing something realistically through pencil work.

In my early teens I rediscovered drawing more seriously and began taking on commissioned portraits, particularly pet portraits, before eventually moving into large scale mural work, digital artwork, and graphic design.

For a long time I worried about not having one instantly recognisable “style” as an artist. I used to think successful artists were supposed to fit neatly into one lane or visual identity. Over time though, I’ve realised that this constant movement between mediums and styles is actually a huge part of who I am creatively. I enjoy the challenge of applying the same artistic principles across completely different forms of work, and I think that process continues to push and evolve me as an artist.

A lot of my work is driven by curiosity, observation, and craftsmanship. Whether I’m working on a detailed coloured pencil drawing, a mural, or a digital design piece, I’m always chasing the same thing creating work that feels honest, thoughtful, and visually engaging.

At its core, I simply enjoy creating. I enjoy the process of learning, experimenting, and translating ideas across different mediums, and I think that openness is what continues to shape my work today.
